Atomic Energy

In the 1950s Alec Reeves tried to get involved with atomic power. The official letters below indicate that this was a serious proposition, but the final letter may leave one in doubt. However all was deadly secret and professional typists could not be employed. It should be remembered that the reference to laboratory staff as "boys" was common parlance in the 1930s and not exceptional.

The quality of this official letter about a transistor puts the style and production of the preceding letters in perspective.
